one of the oldest skyscrapers in Atlanta rises to the top once again
GWA Dots

The Grant Building is a ten-story historic structure located in downtown Atlanta. Built in 1898, the building was designed for office use and boasts an elaborate, detailed façade that resembles the Reliance building in downtown Chicago.

The Grant Building anchors an entire block end which allows visitors to step through a marble-walled gallery and access adjacent restaurant and coffee shops. Renovations in the 1970’s blocked the main entrance which will be reopened as the new hotel check in. From there guests travel to their rooms where the original corridors remain along with the marble floors.

integrating original features with modern design goals

Studio GWA was asked to provide interior design services to marry the existing historic fabric with the comfort and modern amenities of the brand in play. Dark dramatic tones, sleek high-end finishes, and brass accents combine traditional grandeur and modern facilities to give this historic building a chic new personality Working with those brand standards.
